The Task Force meets on first Thursday of every month at 7 pm (rain or shine) at the House Springs Lions’ Club located at 6482 Highway MM in House Springs.  We average 30 to 40 attendees.  The meetings last approximately one hour.  We have an interesting speaker at each meeting that gives a talk on subjects of interest relating to the highways and safety.  We give an update on the status of ongoing highway projects.  Local emergency services, Sheriff’s Department, MoDOT and Jefferson County highway representatives give updates on items of interest.  Elected officials are given an opportunity to speak.

Previous speakers have included our Congressman, Russ Carnahan. Bill McKenna (a past chairman of the MoDOT Commission) has spoken to the organization at various times discussing his efforts to improve Missouri highways. Regular speakers include members of MoDOT management at all levels, including those based in Jefferson City, the Sheriff, MO State Highway Patrol, county officials, etc.
